Korean Hanwoo Beef, Delivered to Your Doorstep
Hanwoo is Korea’s native beef, loved for its fine marbling and rich, savoury taste. At 1974 by Meat Affair, our frozen hanwoo steaks and slices come straight from our factory to your home. That means Korean beef for steak night, BBQ or steamboat without needing to book a table. Pick a steak for the pan or thin slices for the grill and hotpot. Every pack is portioned for easy home cooking. What Makes Hanwoo Beef Special?
Hanwoo is Korea’s native cattle breed, raised on the peninsula for thousands of years. In Korea, it is graded on marbling, meat colour, fat colour, texture and maturity, and marbling carries the most weight. Those fine flecks of fat melt as the beef cooks. You get tender bites and a deep, savoury flavour. Many people find hanwoo more beef-forward than very fatty cuts, so it suits anyone who enjoys marbled beef but doesn’t want something too heavy. Our Hanwoo Beef Cuts

How to Cook Hanwoo Beef at Home
Good hanwoo beef needs very little help. Follow these simple steps for a juicy result.- Thaw it properly. Leave the pack in the fridge overnight. Pat the beef dry with paper towels before cooking.
- Season lightly. A pinch of salt and pepper is enough.
- Get the pan very hot. Add a little oil, then lay the beef in.
- Sear, don’t fuss. Cook steaks for about 2 to 3 minutes per side for medium-rare. Thin 5mm and 7mm cuts need only 30 to 60 seconds per side.
- Rest before slicing. Give steaks 3 to 5 minutes, then slice against the grain.
